Resource Velocity Gadget

After adding the velocity gadget, you can configure the same with the values for the below fields as per your need.

Configuration Fields :

  1. Group By :

    1. Sprint

    2. Resource

  2. Chart Type :

    1. Bar

    2. Line

  3. Estimation Type :

    1. Hours

    2. Issue Count

    3. Story Points

  4. Story Points Field :

This field allows you to select the Story Points field being used in your Jira instance.

  1. Show Initial Commitment :
    Show / Hide Initial Commitment data in the charts

  2. Show Final Commitment :
    Show / Hide Final Commitment data in the charts

  3. Board :

Select your project board with this field.

  1. No of Sprints to include :

You can select up to 15 sprints to view their Velocity.

  1. Include Sprints shared in multiple boards :

Many a times sprints are shared in multiple boards. You can set this field accordingly to select your sprints.

  1. Include active sprints :

Set this field yes or no to include active sprints in the charts.

  1. Consider issues in their sprint only :

Quite often issues are spilled over to other sprints. If you want to consider issues for calculation only in their last sprint, set this field to yes.

  1. Order of Sprints :
    You can view the sprints in the creation order of “Newest to Oldest” or “Oldest to Newest”.

  2. Issue Types to Consider :
    You can include / exclude the various issue types in your project to calculate the sprint velocity.

After saving the configuration, you will see the gadget as below
