Global Settings
Navigate to Settings → Apps page. You will find Capacity Planner → Global Settings link on the left navigation bar, as per screen shot below.
This provides following options :
Allow settings to be edited by user : This settings allow the app users to override the global settings for themselves
Count story points for issue types : The capacity can be calculated based on the issue types. By default all issue types are selected. Some teams use user stories for capacity calculation while some use subtasks for hours calculation. This can be configured here.
Exclude subtasks completed before sprint/fix version start : Subtasks which are completed before the sprint start dates can be excluded from the capacity calculations.
Set Remaining Work to Zero on Done : If your team wishes to set the issues remaining time to zero when they are marked as done.
Option to calculate resource capacity for User Wise detail Screen either based on issue remaining estimate or original estimate.
The calculation is as follows :
Remaining Estimate
a. Remaining Estimate = Remaining Estimate of JIRAOriginal Estimate
b. Remaining Estimate = Estimate of JIRA - Total Time Spent on JIRA
