Sprint resource velocity is a metric used in agile project management methodologies, particularly in Scrum, to measure the amount of work a team can complete within a single sprint. It represents the total number of story points or other units of work that a team can deliver within a sprint.

Sprint velocity is usually calculated by summing up the story points (or other units) of all the completed tasks or user stories at the end of each sprint. Over time, a team's sprint velocity tends to stabilize, providing a reliable measure of the team's capacity for future sprint planning.

By understanding the team's sprint velocity, the Scrum team and stakeholders can better predict how much work can be accomplished in future sprints and plan accordingly. It helps in setting realistic expectations and improving the accuracy of project timelines and forecasts.
